Chartered Market Technician (CMT)

The CMT program develops deep knowledge in technical analysis covering the market behaviour, the gap between intrinsic value and market price, behavioural finance, quantitative systems design and risk management. 

The program will have a direct impact of the work of portfolio managers, hedge fund managers, investment advisors, RIAs, investment strategists, heads of research, and chief investment officers.

CMT program consist of three levels examination which must be completed in sequence. 

• CMT Level I – Focusing on the basic knowledge of the terminology and analytical tools used in technical analysis.
• CMT Level II – Focusing on the competency in the application of concepts, theory, and techniques covered by the required readings.
• CMT Level III – Integration the candidate’s understanding of the concepts identified in Level I with the practical application learned in Level II.
